“We had a wonderful trip to France! Cecilia listened as we described the experience that we were looking for and did a fantastic job of turning our ideas into an itinerary that was planned out down to the last detail. We spent 19 days traveling from Caen to Tours then on to Sarlat, Castelnaudary, Carcassonne, and Toulouse. Our trip included a boat tour on the Canal du Midi that we had booked independently, and Cecilia seamlessly worked this into the rest of our trip. We traveled with private drivers, by train, by rental car and by plane. It was a complex schedule, but Cecilia made it all work. She also arranged for excellent lodging ranging from a restored mansion in the tiny village of Drudas to a luxury hotel in Toulouse. “Cecilia put together the best 2 tours I have ever done in France on my own! The first tour was around Paris for a week that included logistics: arranging a lovely boutique hotel in one of my favorite areas, Saint Germain, drivers and guides. The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough & great fun. She arranged tickets for exhibits, off-the-beaten-path museums, churches, gardens, great restaurants & several musical events. Cecilia also arranged a guide for me to experience the extraordinary stained glass windows of St. Chapelle & Chartres, plus it’s labyrinth.Cecilia had excellent additions to my basic requests. Quickly, she grasped my general concept to fill in several gaps in my prior Paris experience & made them all work seamlessly. I had a blast!
I also wanted to tour The Loire River Vally in depth for 2 weeks, several weeks after Paris. I had worked with another tour company to put that together before I found Cecilia. However, that other company dropped the ball altogether at the last minute. Immediately, I turned to Cecilia for some help, never thinking that she could pull those 2 weeks together with a complete itinerary. She included even more destinations than I had proposed, along with guides, drivers, trains, hotels, restaurants, etc. How she pulled that rabbit out of her proverbial hat will always baffle me…but she did!

“Choosing Tournesol Travel was the best decision made regarding our trip to France. My husband wanted to surprise me with a trip for my 40th birthday and let me just say that Cecilia made this the most magical trip I could have ever imagined.
She took time to speak with my husband at length, every day was perfectly planned down to the smallest details, like a bottle of champagne was waiting for us in our hotel room and a "Happy Birthday" the “day of”. She thought of everything and was available to assist us in a situation during the trip where our French was less than sufficient :)
We toured Paris in a vintage car and experienced a private personalized shopping experience to pick out the perfect dress for the perfect birthday dinner. We had a guided tour of Hemingway's Paris, segwayed our way through the whimsical streets of Amboise, had private tours of vineyards, took a wine class in Bordeaux and sipped champagne on the Eiffel Tower.

“As two working parents, we don't have a lot of time, so when we decided (fairly last minute) to take our kids (10 and 13) to France for Spring Break, we looked to Tournesol Travel to help plan our trip. Cecilia was fantastic and helped make our time in Paris (with a day trip to Strasbourg) and the Loire Valley amazing on so many levels! Beyond the museums, chateaus, and churches, Cecilia booked us a number of really unique things like a macaron baking class at a chef's apartment, a Segway tour of Amboise, and a chocolate walking tour of the Marais. “Our trip to Normandy with 10 members of our family was a dream come true and would not have been possible without the help from Tournesol Travel. The accommodations you arranged were first class and the itinerary was “right on.” As you know, our intent was to make sure that our four grandchildren understood the sacrifices made by our troops at D-Day.
